SmartSound是一个傻瓜化的背景音乐发生器，通过它可以即时创建与视频完全匹配的音轨，轻松为用户的影片配上优美的背景音乐。SmartSound也是目前唯一能够随意调节背景音乐长度的软件，其功能的实现主要是依赖于独特的音乐记录方式，它可以把整个音乐分解成数十个小段，电脑自动分析其可以循环片断，通过片断的循环，来实现背景音乐与影片长度的紧密配合。本套光盘内的音乐存储格式为SmartSound专用格式，该格式记录了音乐的各段定义信息，可随意进行循环和调节长度。您也可以通过SmartSound的专用软件，把音乐转换为WAV等通用音频格式。

While the final product produced is compatible with almost any NLE style video software, the CDs themselves only work with SmartSound enabled applications
