This first part of the course dives deep into the world of large-scale fluid simulations using Houdini. You’ll explore essential workflows and techniques, from creating ocean-based layers to advanced flip simulations, white water, foam, and spray effects.
In this second part of the course, the focus shifts to rendering and compositing workflows that bring your fluid simulations to life. You will work with Karma to set up realistic shaders for water, white water, and foam, followed by multi-layer compositing in Nuke. From setting up the scene in Solaris to final tweaks in Nuke, every stage covers detailed techniques and insights for achieving professional-level results. Learn how to optimize renders, create realistic textures, and merge all elements seamlessly for an impressive cinematic finish.
